Pimax’s retina-level VR headset will debut at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show and is being marketed as “the world’s first.” The Crystal Super has an impressive resolution of 3840 x 3840 per eye. The device is equipped with aspherical glass lenses that provide “57 PPD at a horizontal field of view of over 120°, with an incredible brightness of 280 nits.”
Pimax guarantees the flexibility of its groundbreaking retina-level VR headset by allowing different optical engines for the Crystal Super. This means that “entire panels and lenses can be swapped out in seconds.” The innovation also includes two controllers.
